Spring Black Bear

Spring Black Bear Hunts - Best cure for cabin fever I know!

Public Lands Hunt: After being locked up all winter you get the itch for some peace, quiet, and fresh spring time air, spring bear hunting fills that ticket. Montana has a very large population of black bears with a wide variety of colors from blonde, chocolate, black, to the reddish brown. Hunting is done using a 4X4 with some walking in various drainages. Binoculars and spotting scope are used extensively in viewing the logged off areas. Past hunts have had from 85-100% success. All hunts are fair chase, no bait or dogs are used. We have hunted this area for over 30 years and know the area very well. Spring bear license must be purchased by April 14th. Bear tage cost is $350.00.

You will be staying in a motel (at your expense) that is centrally and scenically located. Breakfast and evening meal will be on you own and John will provide lunch in the field. This is good bear country. Several of our bears have qualified for SCI record book, in all colors. These are 7 day hunts, with 5 days of hunting time, 2 hunters per guide the cost is $1,800.00* each, or for private guides the cost is $2,500.00 (*plus 4% FS use fee) **plus motel and meals about $450.00 for your stay.
