We just finished the rifle elk season.
2006 summary: 7 archery hunters took home 4 bulls: 336, 286, 269, 278.There were only 4 hunters that did not shoot at nice bulls. All other clients had one or more shots at bulls. Some clients turned down bulls.Rifle season we took 22 clients they took home 12 bulls: and 7 deer

For the 2007 season we took four archery hunters and one had good opportunity at and missed a bull, he also turned down some smaller bulls, another turned down bulls. Rut was very slow and unresponsive, 50% opportunity. Rifle season is just starting week four, first three weeks we took 4-6, 2-3, 4-5
First week 6 hunters took home 4 bulls the other 2 both wounded bulls. 2 - 6 points, a 5x5 and a unicorn style unusual bull 7x4
Second week 3 hunters took home 2 bulls 334, 360 other hunter missed a large bull and turned down smaller bulls.
Third week 5 hunters took home 4 bulls. 2 clients took home 5x5 bulls in the first 4 hours of the hunt. One 6x6(292) and a 6x7 (328) both very nice bulls. . The other client missed 2 different bulls.
Fourth week 6 hunters took 3 bulls, 357, 306, and a nice 5x5, and a big one got away. .
To date 20 clients took home 13 bulls, and 5 nice mule deer.
Every client has harvested, wounded, missed or turned down 5x5 or better bulls so far this year
Please give us a call and set your dates, we require a 50% deposit to confirm any hunts, and hold the dates. We will start the licensing the first part of February when the paperwork becomes available from Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks, that must be completed by March 15th.
